Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity research, the science and engineering of protecting digital systems, networks, and cyber–physical infrastructures from attacks, misuse, and failures, is a key area of focus for our faculty. They develop new security methods to detect, prevent, and respond to threats across computing and connected systems. Our faculty are undertaking groundbreaking research in AI-driven threat detection and anomaly analysis (using machine learning and graph-based models), secure and privacy-preserving data sharing (using cryptography and federated learning), and resilience engineering for critical infrastructures such as intelligent transportation systems, IoT/edge environments, and connected autonomous systems (using adversarial testing, digital twins, and real-time incident response frameworks).
