Lauren Gold received her Ph.D. in Media Arts and Sciences from Arizona State University, where her research focused on visualization of multiscale planetary data. She is an Assistant Professor of Digital Media at the University of Houston and director of the Gold Lab for Spatial Media Systems. Prior to joining the University of Houston, she was a postdoctoral researcher in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University. Her work spans immersive visualization, real-time rendering, and adaptive spatial computing, with an emphasis on advancing interactive methods for the representation, integration, and interpretation of complex spatial data.
